Your Privacy Matters

QuickTrack Privacy Policy

QuickTrack is designed to help you manage your time while keeping your tracking information on your own computer. This policy explains how local storage works and what you should know when using the tool.

Effective date: October 18, 2026

Local Data Storage

Your QuickTrack time-tracking records are stored locally in your browser on your own computer.

No User Database

QuickTrack does not store your time-tracking records in a company database or user-data database.

You Control Your Data

Your locally stored records remain under your control through your browser and computer.

1. Introduction

Welcome to QuickTrack. We respect your privacy and aim to minimize the collection and storage of personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use QuickTrack, including its time-tracking features.

Our core approach: QuickTrack time-tracking records are stored locally on your computer, not in a company database. QuickTrack does not operate a database for storing those user records.

By using QuickTrack, you acknowledge that you have read this policy.

2. Information We Handle

QuickTrack may let you create or manage information such as:

  • Task or activity descriptions.
  • Time-tracking sessions and durations.
  • Session start and end times.
  • Timer preferences and related tool settings.

The information you enter into QuickTrack's time-tracking features is stored locally in your browser on your computer.

QuickTrack does not require these records to be saved in a company database to use local time-tracking functionality.

Please avoid entering sensitive information into activity descriptions or other fields unless necessary.

3. Local Data Storage

QuickTrack uses browser-based local storage to retain time-tracking information on the computer you use.

This means your locally stored tracking records are not automatically uploaded to a QuickTrack user database or synchronized to a company account.

What this means for you

  • Your records are kept in the browser storage associated with your computer and browser.
  • Your records may not appear if you switch to another computer, browser, or browser profile.
  • Clearing browser data, using private browsing, or resetting your browser may remove locally stored records.
  • Your records are not automatically backed up to a QuickTrack database.

If your records are important, consider keeping your own secure backup if QuickTrack provides an export option.

4. How Data Is Used

Information entered into QuickTrack's time-tracking features is used to provide the functions you choose to use, such as recording work sessions, calculating durations, and displaying your tracking history.

These records are intended for your own use. QuickTrack does not need to save them in a company database to perform local tracking functions.

Do not assume that your data will be available on another device unless a separately described feature explicitly supports that function.

5. Data Sharing

QuickTrack does not sell your locally stored time-tracking records or upload them to a QuickTrack user database for sharing.

Local tracking records are intended to remain on your computer. However, your use of the website itself may involve technical communications with the website host or services needed to load or operate particular features.

We do not claim that every technical request made while visiting a website is necessarily stored only on your computer. Website hosting providers may process basic connection information, such as IP addresses, as part of delivering and securing the website.

6. Cookies and Browser Storage

QuickTrack may use browser storage, such as localStorage, to remember time-tracking sessions and settings on your computer.

Browser localStorage is different from a server-side database. It allows a website to retain selected information within your browser between visits.

You can manage or clear website storage through your browser settings. If you clear QuickTrack's stored data, your saved tracking records may be permanently lost.

Any cookies or additional storage used by the website should be disclosed according to the actual features implemented.

7. Data Security

Keeping tracking information on your own computer helps avoid the need to store those records in a centralized QuickTrack user database. However, local storage is not the same as encrypted or password-protected storage.

Anyone who can access your browser profile or computer may potentially be able to access information stored there.

To help protect your information, we recommend:

  • Using a password or other screen lock on your computer.
  • Keeping your browser and operating system updated.
  • Avoiding shared or public computers for private records.
  • Keeping secure backups of important information when available.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

QuickTrack's locally stored tracking records generally remain in your browser until you delete them, clear the relevant browser storage, or remove them through an available application feature.

Because these records are stored locally, QuickTrack cannot retrieve or delete a particular copy from your computer through a company database that does not hold that copy.

If you use a shared computer, remove your locally stored information when you no longer need it.

9. Third-Party Services

The website hosting provider, external libraries, or other integrated services may process limited technical information when the website loads or a feature is used.

If a QuickTrack feature connects to an external API or server, information required for that request may be transmitted to that service. The service may handle information under its own privacy policy.

This does not mean QuickTrack stores your local time-tracking records in a database. However, any external data processing must be described accurately for the particular feature involved.

Review the privacy policies of third-party services when using features that depend on them.

10. Children's Privacy

QuickTrack is not designed to encourage children to provide unnecessary personal information. We do not intentionally collect children's personal information into a QuickTrack user database.

Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of websites and online tools as appropriate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when QuickTrack's features, technical setup, or applicable legal requirements change.

Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective or updated date. Please review this page periodically.

12. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how QuickTrack handles local tracking information, please contact us through the official QuickTrack website's contact page.

We will review privacy-related questions and clarify how the relevant features handle information.
